gimme some lovin'

Springtime is known for its ability to raise the loving atmosphere up, in nature and around us people too...

So with springtime in your heart and a wink in your eye, try this smoothie for an added lovey dovey-effect! The raw cacao powder has more antioxidants (10% of it's weight! Wow!) in it than blueberry, goji-berry, acai-berry and red wine have combined!... Raw cacao is also a great source of magnesium, iron, mangane, chrome and zinc (to name a few). It also contains fiber. But it's best known for its pleasure enhancing-effects on the brain and its powers that it has as a natural aphrodisiac... (So because of all the cacao-power the powder has - start with one tablespoon in your smoothie if raw cacao if a new thing for you!)

Say smooch! - smoothie

a banana
frozen raspberries
frozen strawberries
raw cacao powder (start with 1tbsp)
almond milk/water
stevia, just a bit
(cacao nibs)

- Blend everything in your blender until smooth. Add some cacao nibs on top if you are feeling fancy.

Have a smoochy-goody day everyone!

the season of freshness

My socks are rolling in my feet and my eyes are popping out, just out from joy... Well why oh why this kinda madness...? Because it is officially SPRING!

Spring is my favorite time of the year. There is nothing I don't like about spring. The fresh green color in trees and on the ground, from grass pushing through the soil and leaves popping out from the branches... And the sun rays that feel so amazingly warm after the winter. Plus the feeling I get when I do my daily walks in the forest nearby, the birds are chirping so loud that it feels like it's their very own Birdie Idol going on.

When spring comes, people often go towards new projects, buy new outfits (color!), sping-clean their homes, take a closer look to what they want.. There's something magical about spring - how it opens your eyes to the amazingness that was hiding under the winter snow; how spring's ability to pop out after the dark season is so powerful that you often see your own things in new light as well - with the help of a little springtime sunshine.

... Enjoy the spring, and take in every goody bite of it! It's here for a reason. To kick-start new things, to boost the energy-levels up, to warm us with some solar energy, to show us there is always colors waiting for us around a grey corner.

warning: cuteness overload

So here are some pictures for you guys - just because they are cute, fuzzy-warm and happy pictures. Cause sometimes it's good not to think about anything, not to analyze, not to make things complicated by being stressed out. You'll have time for that later, that's what Mondays are for! ;)

Sometimes it's just good to look at happy feel-pics...of dogs. So here they come! (and I am sure you cannot tell that I am a big doggie-girl myself... But dogs just never stop at making my heart melt...So just give a dog in front of me and I am yours! hehee)

Have a furry happy Saturday <3

DeeDeeDee!

me soaking up my darling D-vitamin in Stockholm

I gotta get all serious nutritionista for you guys today! Cause I am on a important task here, to promote my friend: Mr. D!

Be sure to check your D-vitamin intake, because it is a crucially important vitamin and most people have a D-vitamin defiency, and it affects your energy levels and many other factors of wellbeing and health.

Vitamins are in their best form & easiest to absorb for your body when you get them from whole foods. BUT like with vitamin D, that you don't necessarily have any access to on those seasons when there is no sun (sunlight - > produces D-vitamin in your body), it is very important to get it somewhere, so invest some bucks for a good cause and buy a good D-vitamin supplement.

It is SO very important to your bones (promotes absorption of calcium), nervous system, energy levels, mood - everything! And as it is the vitamin that helps calcium absorb better, it's actually proven in many studies to be the main factor to prevent bone loss (=osteoporosis), so it is actually more important to your bone health than calcium itself.

It also decreases (for example) the risk cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart-disease.

So besides the supplements, you get D-vitamin from (for example); fish, eggs, and some mushrooms. Plus from the sunlight - which we talked about already.

So get you D-game on!

surprise yourself / yllätä itsesi

I have been raised to believe that everyday is special, that you can have a party for no reason and that is it okay to laugh a bit too loud or dance like a freak if that's what makes you happy... So this clip goes great here - making this Wednesday a bit special...

Have a great wednesday & enjoy the video!
